Cloud Backend Engineer
We're looking for a skilled Cloud Backend Engineer to build and scale the core infrastructure powering Impart Security's Application Protection Platform. You'll work on high-performance, distributed systems that secure applications for leading enterprises.
Your Impact
- Build robust, scalable backend services that process massive volumes of application traffic with minimal latency
- Implement sophisticated security analysis engines that detect and prevent application threats in real-time
- Create reliable, observable systems that our customers depend on for critical security protection
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions that will scale with our rapid growth
Your Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance backend services using Go, WASM, and eBPF technologies
- Work with service mesh technologies like Envoy and Istio to implement traffic analysis and protection
- Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes with focus on scalability and reliability
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production services
- Optimize system performance to handle increasing scale while maintaining sub-millisecond response times
- Collaborate with security researchers to implement cutting-edge threat detection algorithms
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure exceptional system reliability

What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience with focus on distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in Go with experience in WASM and eBPF technologies
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Envoy, Istio) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Understanding of application security, HTTP protocols, and web application protection
- Familiarity with database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, time-series databases)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to system reliability
