We've made several updates to our rules engine to help security and engineering teams express logic more clearly and cover more use cases with less friction.

What's new:

  • Condition Groups
Group condition fields and customize the logic between them. It's now easier to express more advanced scenarios with precision.
  • Condition Reordering
Use built-in controls to move conditions up, down, or to the top—giving you more control over performance by placing expensive checks where they belong.
  • Multi-line Rule Descriptions
Rule descriptions now support multiple lines, making it easier to provide context, reference details, or align with internal documentation—especially useful for teams managing large or complex rule sets.
  • Numeric Comparison Operators for CTX Values
Rules can now evaluate context (CTX) values using numeric comparisons (e.g. greater than, less than). This opens up a wide range of use cases—like tagging requests where bot_score is greater than a certain threshold, etc.

These updates make our rules engine more powerful and readable—helping security and app sec teams move faster while staying precise.
