We’ve been busy building new ways to make the Inspector more powerful, flexible, and easy to use. In this update, you’ll find improvements to the Inspector itself, plus two brand-new apps that put more security controls at your fingertips. From streamlined updates in Inspector v0.40.0, to easier access to release notes in our docs site, to new apps for blocking attacks and protecting sensitive data—you now have more tools than ever to strengthen your security posture.

Inspector Version 0.40.0 Available

Improvements

  • Smarter updates: Hashtag counts and penalty boxes now share only the changes needed, reducing overhead.
  • More accurate results: Counters merge in place for better performance and consistency.
  • Greater flexibility: Added support for static lists to give you more control.
  • Stronger foundation: Updated dependencies for improved stability.

Fixes

  • Resolved state issues in the local testing plugin for a smoother testing experience.

We recommend upgrading to v0.40.0 to take full advantage of these enhancements and fixes.

You can now find all Inspector release notes directly in our documentation site. This makes it easier to stay up to date with the latest features, improvements, and fixes—all in one central place.

New Apps Launched

We’re continuing to expand our library of Apps; out-of-the-box protections designed to help you get started faster, with minimal setup and maximum impact. Apps are simple to enable, and easy to manage, and AI-native by design, giving you powerful controls without the complexity. Customers love them because they make it effortless to stay protected, and we’re always adding more to meet evolving needs.

Here are two of the latest additions:

WAF Attacks App

The WAF Attacks App makes it easy to block common web application threats, like SQL injection (SQLi), cross-site scripting (XSS), command injection, and other OWASP Top 10 attack types. Unlike other solutions that either offer limited customization or are overly complex to configure, our approach is just-right simple: flexible where you need it, effortless where you don’t. Plus, it’s AI-native, meaning detections continuously adapt without heavy rule management. You also get fine-grained control with tunable security toggles and the ability to exclude sensitive keys from logs for improved visibility and safer data handling.

Sensitive Data App

The Sensitive Data App helps you automatically identify and label information attackers often seek to exploit—such as routing numbers, credit card numbers, and email addresses. What sets it apart is its ability to distinguish inbound from outbound data. This is critical because while inbound sensitive data poses risk, it’s often outbound data exposure that signals real-world attack success. By separating and labeling traffic in both directions, the app makes it easier to spot potential breaches early and protect what matters most.

Security threats evolve quickly, and so do your needs. With every release—whether it’s smarter updates in Inspector, easier access to release notes, or powerful new apps—Impart is focused on giving you the flexibility, simplicity, and control to stay ahead. These improvements are more than just features; they’re part of Impart's commitment to making modern security both stronger and easier to manage.

Upgrade to Inspector v0.40.0 and explore the new Apps today to see how Impart can help you protect what matters most, without the complexity.
